Amazon Prime Day Deals for Entrepreneurs

Jun 21, 2021

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is Amazon's personal holiday where we get to have discounted prices like after Thanksgiving sales but on days Amazon designates vs waiting for the holiday.

As a result, we skip the lines and feel like kids in a candy store getting the things we need to operate our businesses at a discounted price.

That being said, we have entered into one of those holiday sales-like days, and below you'll find my recommendations for entrepreneurs looking to buy gear to make content creation easier.

What should you buy?

I would highly suggest taking a look around your house and what life looks likes now working more from home and having your family at home and what can help simplify that experience for you.

I would highly consider looking at tools that increase your efficiency in work and even your personal life.

I'll not only be recommending more camera-related tech but also some basic upgrades worth considering around the house.

If you don't have an Amazon Prime account, I'd highly recommend letting today be the day you give it a shot and get free shipping on your purchases today!

Recommended Camera Gear

Cameras & Accessories

Ulanzi Wide Angle Adapter for Sony ZV-1 $39

One of my favorite pieces of kit for my ZV-1 and the macro lens on this thing is insane!

UURig (Ulanzi Company) Cage for Sony ZV-1 $39

This cage is awesome! The wood handle actually feels nice in the hand and doesn't bulk up the camera too much. Really nice piece of kit here!

Sony ZV-1 White $652 | Black Kit w/Memory Card $657

Hands down a must-have for any content-creating entrepreneur. I've had plenty to say about this camera so..yeah. It's freaking incredible!

Sony ZV-1 Creator Kit w/Memory Card & Sony Tripod Grip $746

Sony put everything you need in one creator kit if you plan on grabbing the Sony ZV-1 for just a bit more than just with the memory card alone. I've tried the Bluetooth grip and remote, I wish I had kept it because it works with any Sony cameras.

DJI Osmo Action $199

A great little camera that actually is better than the Go Pro is a lot of ways but is great with its front-facing screen and can be great for action camera use cases or for vlogging.

Go Pro Hero 8 Bundle $279

A great little camera if you're wanting to shoot videos on the go or for incredible video stabilization and a super wide look.

Ulanzi Quick Release Plate $20.76

THE quick-release plate that made me get rid of everything else and switch everything to these. They don't block the battery door on the camera and are great on the camera.

FeelWorld LivePro L1 $269

For those looking for a more budget-friendly option to some of the Atem-Mini setups, the FeelWorld LivePro L1 has been surprisingly awesome for some creators!

Camera Lenses

For Canon Cameras

Rokinon AF 14mm f2.8 $529 ($479 at checkout) (Requires an adapter if using with the Canon M50)

This lens is a bit on the pricey side but has a 20% off discount at checkout so your checkout price will be closer to $480. This lens is weather-sealed and includes autofocus. If you use a Canon EF adapter or the Viltrox Speedbooster, you can then adapt this lens to the Canon M50.

For Sony Cameras

Samyang 18mm f2.8 $329 (for Sony)

If you're considering switching to Sony and you're looking for some great budget-friendly lenses, Samyang lenses (same as Rokinon) are great lenses with autofocus that won't break the bank.

Samyang 35mm f2.8 $219 (Sony lens)

Another great offering from Samyang that on a camera like the Sony a6100, a6400, or a6600 will give you that same look most creators love 50mm lenses for with your background a bit blurry.

(Remember the lower the "f" number, the blurrier the background will be. If you want a blurry background consider lenses f2.8 or lower.)

Tripods & Gimbals

These are some great camera tripod options that offer different features at different price points.

DJI Osmo Mobile 4 (OM4) $119

This is DJI's latest design for their gimbals to help make it easier to create stabilized videos, even in the vertical orientation, and also use some larger smartphones. If you use your phone for content creation, this could be super helpful for you!

Zhiyun Weebill S 3-Axis Gimbal $399

Zhiyun is a tested, tried and true brand proven from creators and filmmakers all around. This beast can run a solid 14 hours but it still compact and versatile. A home run for gimbals.

66" K&F Concept Tripod $111

If you're planning on doing more tabletop videos, this tripod can extend horizontally is a great option to keep your tripod legs out of the shot.

GVM Motorized Camera Slider 31" $239

The Great Video Maker brand has proven to be a solid company introducing more affordable great quality gear to the market. This slide is another one of those added from their arsenal.

PHOPIK 77 Inches Tripod, Lightweight Aluminum Camera Tripod for DSLR, Photography Tripod with 360 Degree Ball Head $59

A great and simple option for creating videos on the go! Not a bad option at all if you're looking to upgrade your camera tripod!

SMALLRIG Mini Tripod for Camera $39

Saw the very popular vlogger Cody Wanner recently switch to using this little guy for his vlogging setup and I'm glad to see this is on sale and reasonably priced for a small versatile tabletop tripod. This is a small tripod, not a larger one like those listed above. Need a small and sturdy vlogging-type tripod, this is what Cody is using, or at least trying out currently. ($19 version without the ball head listed here.)

Lighting Setups & Kits

2 Packs VILTROX LED Panel Light with Stand Kit, (30W/2450Lux) Bi-Color Dimmable $142

Still my go-to favorite lighting kit for the last year! This lighting kit can be connected with up to 8 or so lights to fully light a setup and the simple remote to collectively or individually control my lighting has been a game-changer!

VILTROX VL-S192T 45W/4700LM Dimmable LED Video Light Panel, Bi-Color Video Lighting $89

Another great kit being sold by Viltrox that is worth considering if you want a slightly smaller setup with barn doors to have more control over your lighting setup.

GVM RGB Colored LED Light Kit $207

These actually work great if you're creating in a home office scenario. I've had the pleasure of using these on a video shoot and they get the job done and are solidly built!

Audio Gear & Wireless Microphone Setups

Samson Q2U USB/XLR Microphone $59

A favorite microphone of mine and excellent build quality. It comes with a headphone port, volume buttons and can connect via XLR or USB! This microphone is excellent! It's not a Prime Day deal but it is discounted.

Comica Boom X-D 2.4G Digital Wireless Microphone Set $207 | $147 Solo Kit

One of my new favorite wireless setups that in my experience has worked a bit better than the Rode Wireless Go when it comes to connectivity. Having the ability to mute and individually control the audio levels on the wireless unit and having a headphone jack easily made this a must in my camera bag!

Comica CVM-AX1 Microphone Audio Mixer with 3.5mm Jack $47

Been using this little gem for close to 2 years now and I absolutely love it! If you want a headphone jack, be able to mount 2 microphone setups or send 2 audio signals into your camera and be able to control each specific volume levels, get this!

Budget-Friendly Lapel Options for Video

PowerDeWise Lavelier $35.45

A microphone brand that has made its rounds on YouTube as a reliable source. I added this microphone kit to my cart to test in some future videos and for a simple lapel mic system is worth taking a look at for $10

Memory Cards

Sandisk Extreme Memory Card 128GB $22.49

One of my favorite go-to memory cards even with my Sony cameras. These are super reliable and just a great overall memory card no matter what camera you're using!

Sandisk Extreme Pro Memory Card 64GB $18.79

A bit more reliable when it comes to heavy video use and especially 4k video footage that has added shockproof and moisture resistance when it comes to cards. One of the best cards available that are worth picking up anytime you see them on sale!

Camera & Video Accessories (Among Other Gems)

LaCie Rugged 1TB (1,000 GB) External Hard Drive $49

Another tried and true product in the content creator space that is on sale today. The name of the game in content creation is STORAGE!

Sandisk Portable SSD External Hard Drive 1TB $161 | 2TB $227

SSD hard drives are amazing! I have dropped my Samsung SSD hard drives more times than I care to admit with footage I couldn't afford to lose and the files were safe because drives like these are shockproof, moisture-resistant and so amazing if you're trying to maintain footage on the go or much smaller than HDD hard drives. This one happens to be by Sandisk but it's still an awesome bit of kit!

5TB stands for 5 terabytes, a terabyte is 5,000 GB and this hard drive is 5,000 Gigabytes! I have 8TB and I promise if you're heavily creating video content and you're creating regular and consistent videos, having a backup for the backup is essential!

If you're a Mac user, chances are you are probably tired of always looking for a dongle setup. This is a great setup from Belkin which is a widely trusted brand that's will turn one USB-C Thunderbolt 3 connection into multiple ports to increase your tech connectivity.

A gimbal I've had my eye on for a while and it's awesome seeing an already budget-friendly amazing gimbal at a steal of a price! I have always been impressed by the performance of this smaller and more manageable gimbal. If you have a Canon M50 or smaller Sony mirrorless camera like the a6400 or a6600 (or similar) and you're looking for a gimbal, this is a steal of a deal!

Adjustable Tablet Teleprompter Kit for iPad/Tab/Smartphone/DSLR Video Camera $95

I really like you can use your smartphone or your tablet to put your script and this is a small teleprompter setup. If you're in the market for one, check it out!

Hot Shoe Mount Adapter 1/4" Mini Ball Head $8

I often replace some heavier ball heads on vlogging sticks with little ones like these and they're also great for holding mics or accessories. You'll know if you want or need some of these lol.

Smartphone Video Tools

 iPhone Airpods Wireless Headset $119

A simple yet great tool if you're constantly using your phone for work or even for the occasional remote live stream with its built-in microphone, these are a great option to free up your hands to do your work untethered.

iPhone Headphone Adapter for 3.5mm Mic/Headphone Jack $14.39

A great little option to keep around if you want to connect your lapel microphone with your iPhone.

USB C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter $10

Similar to the setup for iPhones, this will connect to your Android smartphones to covert the USB C to a 3.5mm headphone jack

Items Currently on My Prime Day Watch List

ESDDI 5 Inch Camera Field Monitor Full HD IPS Screen Support 4K  $135 (Deal Now Active)

A nice and simple 4k monitor. If your camera doesn't have a flip screen or you're needing a larger and better display for your camera, $127 is a great price for a 4k monitor.
